Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Louis Frazier
South Central Georgia Jurisdiction, Auxiliary Bishop
Bishop Thomas Louis Frazier, visionary, anointed, and spirit-filled Shepherd, founded Ellenwood Mission Church of God in Christ in Ellenwood, Georgia in 1974. This small mission of four families was truly blessed by God and many souls were saved and added to the church. Twenty-eight years later Bishop Frazier pastors what is now called Temple of Faith Church of God in Christ in Atlanta GA. As one of the leading churches in the South Central Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Temple Of Faith COGIC maintains many of the traditional standards of the original foundation of the Church of God in Christ instituted by our founder, Bishop Charles H. Mason. Temple of Faith Church of God in Christ is known for producing “Quality Saints and Leaders” in the Church of God in Christ. A native of Atlanta Georgia, Bishop Frazier received Salvation at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop George Briley at Jones Avenue Church of God in Christ. In 1960, then Minister Thomas Frazier met and married the late Tollia M. Black. To this union God bless them with three children. Nine years, after the death of the late Evangelist Tollia Black-Frazier, Bishop Frazier was joined in holy matrimony to Evangelist Ruby Jewel Frazier. Known for his ‘Frazierisms’, Pastor Frazier has several quotes to encourage the young and old: Don’t be a Chicken, but be an Eagle; … If you don't have anything to do, don't do it here (desiring us to keep busy in the ministry); and Get Your Learning, but Don’t Lose Your Burning” and from this phrase the T.L. Frazier Scholarship Foundation was born in 1991. Being a noted citizen in the community, Bishop Thomas Frazier has received several prestigious awards such as, The Hensley Community Service Award from the Atlanta Detention Center, recognition of Faith Based Community Service Award from the governor’s office, and the Outstanding Leadership Award from ITC (International Theological Center). He was Pastor to a wonderful group of seniors at Branan Towers (Wesley Woods Senior Living) and Sadie Mae Senior Living Center, both in Atlanta. Bishop Frazier firmly believes that you must be a good follower in order to be a good leader. He currently holds the positions of Auxiliary Bishop and First Administrative Assistant to our esteemed leader of the South Central Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Bishop Norman Odell Harper. He lends his full support to promoting the vision of the Jurisdiction and the Jurisdictional Bishop. Bishop Frazier promotes these values within the Jurisdiction and conveys them to the East Atlanta District, as the District Bishop, as well as the local assembly of the Temple of Faith COGIC. As the Chairman of the Bishop’s Board, he encourages the Men of God to follow and endorse the vision of the jurisdiction wholeheartedly with their time, talents and treasures. With a passion for God’s people, Bishop Frazier’s Mission Statement – “Our Goals…is Souls” – emphasizes his conviction for soul winning and helping those who are the lost, the hurting, and the needy through teaching and through community outreach ministries. With a heart for ministry and a love for people; he supports the prisons, hospitals and other outreach ministries within the communities. Pastor Frazier believes in financial and spiritual wellness for his congregation, his District, and for the surrounding community. Bishop Frazier’s goal: by continuing to live a Christ centered life and by continuing to work diligently in the ministry doing the work of the Lord, he will one day see Jesus face to face. Bishop Frazier believes that as he continues living his life according to the Word of God, continue being a man of integrity, and continue to lead others to Christ through preaching and teaching the Word of God, thus helping to build God’s Kingdom; he will hear the words: “Well done thy good and faithful servant…enter thou into the joy of the Lord…inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
